Summary

Understanding Young Children's Development provides an exploration positive social-emotional skills, how children acquire and use knowledge & skills, and how children take appropriate action to meet needs. This training will help learners understand the functional skills and abilities related to these outcomes, as well as strategies to consider when observing and assessing young children's abilities.

This training is an adaptation developed by the University of Connecticut Center for Excellence in Developmental Disabilities University of Connecticut | A.J. Pappanikou Center for Excellence in Developmental Disabilities Education, Research, and Service.

Credit Hours

This event is approved for Early Intervention Contact Hours and State Licensure hours for Dietitian/Nutritionist (D/N), Counselor (LCPC), Physical Therapy (PT), Occupational Therapy (OT), Social Work (SW), and Speech-Language Pathology (SLP).
