Overview of Eligibility in the Illinois EI System provides an overview of eligibility requirements in Illinois' Early Intervention System and offers clarification to common misconceptions about eligibility. Strategies for determining eligibility are also presented.

Objectives

  • Define eligibility in the Illinois EI System.
  • Understand how physical and mental diagnosis can impact eligibility in the Illinois EI system.
  • Understand the meaning and eligibility implications of a child being "At Risk based on Informed Clinical Opinion".
