Summary
It Matters: How Culture Impacts Our Work With Families provides a focus on culture, language and their impact on our work with infants, toddlers and their families. As providers of early intervention services, it is important that we have an understanding of the significance culture and language have on our work with families

Objectives
Upon completion of this training, learners will be able to:
- Understand relevant statistics and professional responsibilities for serving Illinois' children with special needs and their families.
- Understand how culture and language impact the provision of early intervention services to Illinois' children with special needs and their families.

This event is approved for Early Intervention Contact Hours and State Licensure hours for Dietitian/Nutritionist (D/N), Counselor (LCPC), Physical Therapy (PT), Occupational Therapy (OT), Social Work (SW), and Speech-Language Pathology (SLP).
