Summary

Regulation Development, Diagnosis, and Education provides a foundation for understanding infant regulation and how regulation can affect a baby's ability to reach milestones. This training will help learners understand the role of regulation in development starting from birth, as well as the role caregivers play in helping to develop regulation. Finally, strategies are presented to assist with regulation challenges when treating a baby.

Objectives

Upon completion of this training, learners will be able to:

  • Learn the definition of regulation and why it is important
  • Understand how regulation develops and the role of co-regulation
  • Discover strategies to help detect a regulation issue.
  • Learn strategies to help regulation develop.

Credit Hours

This event is approved for Early Intervention Contact Hours and State Licensure hours for Dietitian/Nutritionist (D/N), Counselor (LCPC), Physical Therapy (PT), Occupational Therapy (OT), Social Work (SW), and Speech-Language Pathology (SLP).
