This session will introduce Power BI as a tool to improve data centralization and visualization and guide you through the basics of Power BI. Whether you're a beginner or looking to enhance your skills, this session will cover everything you need to get started:

  • Understanding the Power BI ecosystem: Learn about the various components of Power BI and how they work together to streamline your data analysis workflow.
  • Connecting to data: Discover how to connect Power BI to different data sources.
  • Creating visualizations: Explore the intuitive interface of Power BI to build interactive and insightful visualizations that convey your data story effectively.
  • Sharing and collaboration: Learn how to share your Power BI reports and dashboards with colleagues and collaborate in real-time to drive better decision-making.

Presenter: Haley Roell

Haley Roell, MSW is a Senior Evaluation Specialist at Thresholds where she reports and evaluates various programs. Before Thresholds, Haley had experience setting foster care policy in Michigan and working on policy with a Michigan State Senator. Haley holds a BA in Psychology and an MSW from the University of Michigan.

Presenter: Carly Contri

Carly Contri is a data scientist, evaluator, and dashboard enthusiast. She currently works at the American Academy of Pediatrics managing evaluation initiatives across immunization and infection prevention and control programs. Carly graduated with an MEd in Measurement, Evaluation, Statistics and Assessment from the University of Illinois at Chicago.
