Full course description

Overview

Psychedelics is an emerging field in mental health.  Have you wondered how it works, or how you can implement it into your clinical practice?  Have clients asked you about certain medicines, but you felt unprepared to answer their questions or where to refer them for answers and treatment?  This three-part series is an introduction to ketamine, MDMA, and psilocybin that will prepare you to answer these questions and direct you to where you can take your knowledge deeper.

This presentation will focus on the emerging use of MDMA in a clinical setting for the treatment of mental health disorders such as depression and PTSD.  Participants will gain an understanding of the effects of MDMA, its indications and contraindications, the most recent progress on FDA approval, as well as considerations for clinical practice.
